As I was coming up with ideas I really had dig up memories of what I enjoyed when I was younger that I could create for my memento. I realized I spent most of my elementary-middle school days either on the baseball field playing baseball or sitting in the bleachers at a Rays or Red Sox's game. So I decided to recreate a baseball diamond for my memento. We were only allowed three materials so that was my hardest challenge. I decided to use balsa wood, red ink, and green pool table felt. The balsa wood represented the wooden bats that the MLB players would use to during the games. The red ink I decided to use it as a color I would see a lot during Red Sox's game because their main colors were mainly red and blue. Finally I decided to use the green pool table felt to represent as the grass MLB players and I would play on. Although the MLB players and I did not play on green pool table felt , I decided to represent it as grass because it reminded me of a smooth surface that I would play on every Saturday morning.
